This course in workplace training will enable participants to plan, deliver, and evaluate training sessions in the workplace. It also provides the qualification for the conducting of Assessments.

Details:

The TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment specifies the competencies required to deliver training in an industry area or area of subject matter expertise, and to conduct competency-based assessment in a range of contexts.

Mode of Delivery: Flexible

Target Group:  The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is for people wishing to work as trainers and assessors.  This national qualification replaces the Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training BSZ40198.

Requirements:  The assessments projects will require that you plan prepare and deliver both training and assessment.  Ideally you will have access to a work environment to be able to practice and conduct training and assessment. Additionally you will be required to completed tasks using a computer - word processing and a presentation using software such as PowerPoint. Although not a formal prerequisite, it will be a significant advantage if you are able to use this software competently.

There are eight (12) core units and two (2) electives.

  • TAADEL403B  Facilitate individual learning
  • TAAASS401C  Plan and organise assessment
  • TAAASS402B  Assess competence
  • TAAASS403B  Develop assessment tools
  • TAAASS404B  Participate in assessment validation

  • TAADEL301C  Provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills
  • TAADEL402B  Facilitate group-based learning
  • TAADEL405B  Coordinate and facilitate distance-based learning
  • TAAENV404B  Develop innovative ideas at work
  • TAATAS401B  Maintain information requirements of training and/or assessment organisations

The Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training is available for trainers who undertake training as a major part of their work requirement.  Will be available as:  Gap Training for those who currently have the BSZ40198 qualification.
 
 A flexible delivery - using learners guides, online instructions and e-mail/ telephone support.

Assessment: Additional reading, study and assessment tasks will be set for each unit of competency. Regular time will need to be allocated for the completion of this work.   The amount of time required will vary with each individual depending upon a range of factors including their aptitude, reading speed, computer skills, etc.
